How to Become an Official Tradition Keeper
At every orientation, new students will receive a copy of the USF Tradition Handbook called “The Book of Bull”. The Book of Bull serves to allow students to gain knowledge about USF’s proud history and lists the various Traditions at our University. Students are encouraged to download the USF Alumni Association “USF Horns Up” student app on their personal devices. “USF Horns Up” will allow students participating in Traditions to capture their memories by uploading them to the app. Traditions can be completed in any order before you graduate.
How many traditions must you complete to become a USF Tradition Keeper?
If students are able to complete 30 traditions they will be classified as a “Green Tradition Keeper” and receive a USF TK T-shirt. If students complete 40 traditions they will receive a Gold Lapel Pin and be classified as a “Gold Tradition Keeper”. Lastly, if a student completes 56 traditions they will be designated as an official “Green and Gold USF Tradition Keeper” of The University of South Florida and receive a medallion to be worn at graduation to recognize their efforts.
At the end of every semester (dates TBA) there will be “log days” held at the USF Alumni Center where you may come to receive all your insignia earned that semester!
Green Level
Tradition Keeper
Complete any 30 traditions and become a Green Level Tradition Keeper. As a Green Tradition Keeper, your name will go down in USF history and you'll receive an exclusive TK shirt to proudly show your Bull Pride!
Gold Level
Tradition Keeper
Complete any 40 traditions and become a Gold Level Tradition Keeper. As a Gold Tradition Keeper, your name will go down in USF history and you'll receive an exclusive TK Pin to proudly show your Bull Pride!
Green & Gold
Tradition Keeper
Complete all 56 traditions and become a Green & Gold Level Tradition Keeper. As a Green & Gold Tradition Keeper, your name will go down in USF history and you'll receive an exclusive TK graduation medallion and recognition at your commencement.
